David Anthony Ruiz, Esq.

Attorney David Ruiz’s practice focuses on representing those injured at work.

Professional Highlights

David Ruiz grew up in Miami, Florida and attended high school at Christopher Columbus before graduating from Florida International University with a degree in Political Science. He was later admitted to Stetson University College of Law, wherein he graduated cum laude in 2014. While in law school, David served as a federal judicial intern for the Honorable Mark A. Pizzo of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and as a state judicial intern for the Honorable Samantha L. Ward of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. He also served as an editor for the Journal of International Wildlife Law and Policy, and he stills maintains a strong interest in conservation efforts.

Following law school, David worked at an insurance defense firm in Orlando, Florida, wherein his practice solely focused on workers’ compensation cases. After representing insurance carriers and employers for over 8 years, David saw the injustices that many injured workers would go through throughout the course of their claims. He then decided that it was time to help those in need, and in 2023, David began working for the Berlin Law Firm, wherein he has served as the managing partner of the Tampa office. He enjoys coming into work each day fighting for the rights of injured workers.

In his spare time, David enjoys spending time with his wife, playing golf and watching all types of sports, including his home teams from Miami.
