Joseph Odato

Joseph Odato is a U.S. Army veteran and a seasoned attorney who has spent his career fighting for employees. Today he represents injured workers across Florida, handling workers' compensation claims for employees hurt on the job and helping them get the medical care and benefits they're owed.

Joseph Odato is a native of New York City, where he earned his degree from St. John’s University School of Law. He received his B.B.A. in Finance and Investments from the City University of New York, Baruch College, and spent a summer with American International Group (“AIG”) in its legal compliance department.

Prior to law school, Mr. Odato served three years in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged, he worked in the financial services sector in New York City on regulatory compliance with federal laws including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the Dodd-Frank Act.

Mr. Odato was first introduced to labor and employment law while interning at a leading plaintiff’s-side employment firm in New York City, where he saw firsthand the impact an attorney can have on people’s lives. After law school he honed his skills at a national defense firm in Tampa, Florida, and then at a labor and employment firm representing employees in wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation, and employee benefits matters under statutes such as the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, including national class actions, appeals, and complex litigation. In 2016 he joined Creed & Pinkard as a partner.

Today Mr. Odato devotes himself exclusively to representing injured workers, guiding employees who have been hurt on the job through the workers’ compensation process to secure the medical care and benefits they deserve. Joseph is a member of The Florida Bar, the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the National Employment Lawyers Association.
